Here in Athens it is incredibly hot. You can hardly do anything but stay inside. I went to a couple of camps (tennis and basketball) that were really fun. At tennis camp, even though it was hot, I had a great time. Now I want to go play tennis every day. Basketball was great too. On the last day I played the best game of my life and my team almost won the championship game. My days are full of nothing and more nothing but I am still having fun. School starts in a couple weeks. Yeah……. not really.
Paris Finale
26 06 2010There is just a couple of days left for us to be here in Paris. We have just been checking out new places like we usually do and hangin out. Right now it is so hot (not like in Georgia, but it is hot). We went to a couple fancy restaurants recently which were very cool. I am looking forward to going home to see Tyrone, to swim, to see friends and family, basketball, and just being at the house. I will miss the Paris food and parks but I sure will be glad to be home.

Ping-Pong
22 06 2010Yes, ping-pong. We recently got some ping-pong balls and paddles. Almost every park we go to has at least two tables to play on. My mom, sister, and I go to them and are getting pretty good at it. I have been coaching Camille at the apartment and it is fun for me and her too. As we play, we think about how ping-pong is an Olympic sport. Me and my mom try to act like the pros being so sneaky with our shots. This has to be one of my favorite things to do in Paris.

Happy Fathers Day!
20 06 2010As you know today was fathers day so my dad picked what we did today. First we had some delicious croissants. We then went to this flea market which was cool for my dad to see old furniture and paintings. Then, we went to Sacre Coeur, a church that you could see every part of Paris from. There was a couple of shows people put on. One was really bad and one was really awesome. The good one was this African named Iya Traore. He did all kinds of tricks with the soccer ball on a platform that was about two feet by two feet. Please look at the videos on his website because it is very impressive.

Musee de la Chasse
19 06 2010You know museums aren’t my favorite but this one I found very cool. It is a museum of hunting and nature. There was also a contemporary expo called Leur Chien which means our dogs, with sixty huge photographs that express the psychology of each breed. Here is the one that represented my dog. I miss him very much:
There was a big room with huge animal heads. It was so cool because I saw some animals that I had never seen before and great expressions on the animals faces. I saw lot of tigers, hairy boars, mountain rams, and bears. There was this one huge polar bear model that really creeped me out because it was standing at about ten feet tall on its back legs.

Les Halles
17 06 2010Les Halles (lay-al) is an area where a huge underground mall is also home to a lot of cool parks. One of the parks is very small and has things that you can climb on until you are very high. Another is a kids only park (7 and up). They only open the door for a second and you get an hour to play. Today, we went to it and a whole classroom of boys came with us. We played soccer for a while then we played basketball. I dominated in basketball mostly because basketball is not a very popular sport in France. I find it disappointing that all the gyms are closed until September. I hope all of my friends and family in Georgia are doing ok.
(sorry, no pictures. Our camera has been acting up lately. I’m afraid it’s time has come)

The Fifa Fan Fest at the Eiffel Tower
15 06 2010Yesterday we went to the Eiffel Tower to eat with some friends from Athens. First we went to the Fifa Fan Fest. Personally, it was a rip off because the main purpose of it was to watch a game (no activities, no nothin). When we went to dinner we had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. For dinner, I got a cantaloupe type mellon, french fries, rack of lamb, and waffles with Nutela sauce and whipped cream on top. As it got darker, the Eiffel Tower slowly got lit and before you knew it, it was literally sparkling! It only was likre that for about ten minutes but it was so cool.
